ParaZapper Receives High Customer Ratings and Videos on YouTube

ParaZapper receives high customer ratings and videos on YouTube The book "Parasite Zapping and the Zapper" remains available from paradevices.com

Pinson, AL, November 26, 2014 - The book "Parasite Zapping and the Zapper" remains available from http://paradevices.com/

Hulda Clark introduced the original zapper back in the early 1990's in her book, "Cure for all Diseases", and since then, it has grown in popularity and use all over the world. ParaZapper products are from Para Systems, Inc. which is located in Pinson, Al and produces top of the line zappers, making them available to the public at reduced prices.

ParaZapper's top of the line zapper, the ParaZapper MY is available at the new site as is the ParaZapper UZI-3 and the economical mid-range ParaZapper CC2.

ParaZapper™ CC2 model. This zapper which has a total of 29 frequencies in 6 modes of operation making it an extremely flexible and capable zapper while meeting all the requirements place by Dr. Hulda Clark. Each of these mode provide frequencies with better accuracy so, it is designed to perform better than its predecessors. Due to its microprocessor operation, the CC2 has a tight frequency tolerance of +/- 0.25 percent at most frequencies, which is far superior to most zappers. In addition to the increased mode selections, the new ParaZapper™ CC2 model has a superior zapping ability able to more effectively kill microbes due to multi frequency operation in most modes. The CC2 model has a distinct specific frequency feature that allows specific frequencies to run for sufficient time. Also, the use of technology introduced by Dr. Hulda Clark combined with Rife Frequencies provides assurance of increased coverage for many pathogenic microbes.

This model employs the constant current or current controlled output technology which is better, safer output that meets Dr. Clark's recommendations. Other cutting edge features found in the Hulda Clark ParaZapper that are not present in other devices in the market include:

a) Positive offset
b) Multiple modes of operation
c) Multiple frequencies
d) Good connection indicators: in this product, the status indicator serves as s good connection indicator with the changing colors without reducing that output.
e) Larger contacts: this provides a greater amount of electrical signal to produce greater effectiveness than would be achieved with smaller contacts.
f) Does not need different modules for different uses

Some of the customer produced videos that showcase ParaZapper CC2 are:

Video review of ParaZapper CC2

How to use the ParaZapper CC2 and what the indicators show

ParaZapper CC2 very accurate frequency

ParaZapper CC2 very good accuracy

"We introduced multiple frequency zappers because they can reach more organisms during a single session of usage, and the CC2 model is one of the latest in the market with amazing capabilities in killing microbes" said CEO David Etheredge.

One of the most popular zappers is the Terminator style zappers and these are very popular for their convenience. According to David Etheredge, "These zappers are limited because of two features. First, these electrodes are only about the size of a penny, which is way too small, causing skin burns, even holes in the skin from usage. Additionally, these electrodes are right next to each other, essentially shorting out much of the signal." People who have tried both zappers, while they still like the convenience of the Terminator, prefer the effectiveness offered by the best ParaZapper products."

The best results come from using a 4 point contact system with one negative contact and 3 positive contacts. In some cases, using this configuration with paddles and pads can almost double effectiveness and satisfaction.

Para Systems Inc., the maker of the positive offset zapping products as specified by Dr. Clark such as the ParaZapper™ CC2, ParaZapper™ UZI-3, and the new ParaZapper™ MY model. About Jeanne Herrick:
Jeanne Herrick has more than 40 years of experience in public education working for the San Jose Unified School District and Alisal Union School District. She is a leader in K-12 district reform and has championed the “Reading First” effort through grant development and implementation. Ms. Herrick is recognized as a statewide expert in the areas of English Language Learner academic language and literacy development. In the Alisal Union School District (AUSD), Ms. Herrick shaped the initial K-3 reading program that supports stronger reading achievement in the early grades. She has received state level recognition for her work. Ms. Herrick has been instrumental in the expansion of the Read to Me Project in Alisal, supporting its growth from 23 to 52 classrooms with 730 AUSD students reading to 850 young siblings.

About the new Hampton Inn & Suites Salinas:
The new 105-room Hampton Inn & Suites Salinas opened in early 2014 at the corner of Work and John Streets, right off of Highway 101. The Hampton Inn offers hot breakfasts every morning, complementary Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness center as well as HD Direct TV channels and other amenities. It is located just 15 miles from Monterey and close to all Salinas attractions including golf, wine tasting and local events including the California International Air Show, Monterey Sports Car Festival, and the Steinbeck Festival.

About The Read to Me Project:
The Read to Me Project is an early literacy program that helps prepare young children to enter kindergarten with the knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension skills that will help them succeed in school and become literate and successful adults. The Project provides structure and opportunity for infants, toddlers and preschoolers to be regularly read to at home by their elementary-aged brothers and sisters. The Read to Me Project is currently reaching 82 classrooms in East Salinas, Gonzales, Greenfield, Carmel Valley and Big Sur with more than 1000 students reading to 1350 young siblings.

The Read to Me Project is easy and inexpensive to implement, immediate, direct, and powerful; reaching large numbers of young children where they learn best, at home. Families become engaged in providing their young children with the foundation for learning and life-long literacy. The Read to Me Project fosters loving and positive relationships among family members and nourishes lifelong bonds between siblings. It is an organic, simple and preventative approach as opposed to in-school remediation programs that are costly, require children to fail first, and are often provided too late.

How the Read to Me Project works:
The Project is implemented in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms in primarily low-literacy school districts. Students are taught about early brain development, the importance of reading to young children and “The 9 Best Ways to Read to Young Children.”

Participating classrooms are provided with age appropriate books carefully chosen for content, developmental level and ease of reading by students with limited reading skills. Each week students check out a book which they read to their infant, toddler or preschool age brothers and sisters as part of their nightly homework.

Project coordinators work closely with teachers and students throughout the year, providing on-going coaching, training, support and motivation. Students are recognized for their commitment and participation with an end of the year award and bag of books so they can continue to read to their siblings during the summer.

The Read to Me Project has been carefully developed and designed to provide continuous sibling to sibling engagement. Young siblings may be read to over a span of up to three years as participating student readers’ move through grades 4, 5, and 6. This continuity provides young children with extended exposure to early literature and increases the likelihood of successful outcomes. The student readers gain confidence in their own reading skills, become young mentors and model good family literacy practices. Family bonds are strengthened and schools and communities are positively affected.

The Read to Me Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID # 47-1224251). For more information or to make a tax deductible donation visit the Read to Me Project website at www.readtomeproject.org

Singer/Songwriter Joseph Eid Announces The Release of Americana- Folk Album Human with a Genuine and Soulful Touch

Americana-Folk Singer/Songwriter Joseph Eid has announced the recent release of his first full studio album, Human.

Los Angeles, CA, November 25, 2014 - Americana-Folk Singer/Songwriter Joseph Eid has announced the recent release of his first full studio album, Human. Recommended if you like the Avett Brothers and Ray Lamontagne, Eid has been garnering considerable buzz with his music, recently being named as one of the 100 Hottest Live Unsigned Artists of 2014 by Music Connection Magazine.

The album’s title track "Human", displays the pastoral beauty, delicate guitar work, and intricate but relatable lyrics that have become Eid’s trademark. “Human” seamlessly blends sharp, melodic pop lyricism with traditional folk sensibilities evoking folk troubadours both past and present .

The album’s first single “Ready Now”, is propelled by a driving rhythm section , lush instrumentation and an instantly unforgettable hook. “Ready Now,” has surpassed over 20,000 views on YouTube and is the depiction of an animated version of Eid. The song tells a love story in which the man is confused about his beloved one. The storyline is lively presented by Eid’s gentle and narrative voice in the verse parts, and the passionate vocal harmony in the chorus increased the whole song’s intensity and meaning. The use of varied orchestra instruments also added a layer of dramatic effects to the song, giving it a more complicated and intriguing sensation.

Originally born in Liberia to Lebanese parents, Joseph Eid grew up in the suburbs of New York.  He was raised in a strict and traditional home where the arts were only supported as a hobby and never as a career.  During his college years, Eid studied psychology and pre-med but all the while, he was always dreaming about a potential career in music.  After his first semester at med school, the dream got too big to hold and Joseph made the bold choice of dropping out and moving to New York City to pursue music and follow his dream.  He joined a band, picked up a guitar, and the songs poured out like rain.  His journey led him to Los Angeles in 2007 where he started playing regularly at open mikes and showcases.  Shortly after, he began working with world-renowned guitarist/songwriter David Lamar, honing his songwriting at weekly showcases at the Stone Bar, leading the prolific singer/songwriter to write over 30 new songs as well as record his debut EP Cardiac Output.

Known as a dynamic solo performer, Joseph Eid has brought his cathartic one-man live show to many of Los Angeles’ premier music venues, including stints at Room 5 and El Cid.  He has held residencies at the following Hollywood venues:  The Stone Bar, Crane’s Hollywood Tavern, Room 5, and Bar Lubitsch.

Eid recently released a music video of “Something Real,” which is based on a personal experience that also happens to be universal with communication via technology and social media. A visually simple yet emotionally complex music video, “Something Real,” is meant as a commentary on our constant need to be plugged in and how this has changed the way we communicate as well as taken away the value and the weight of words and human connection.  This idea is demonstrated in the video as Eid sings to and tries to connect with lifeless, robotic people. The twist at the end of the video illustrates that no one is immune to the digital disease – including Eid.

Another piece of exciting news for the folk and country lovers is that Eid’s going to release a brand new video for the single “Hit me up” from the album “Human”. This particular song maintained his emotional and well-polished singing and song writing style, and at the same time experimented with country style guitar fill-ins. Every Eid’s video released so far, from the animated himself in ‘Ready now’ to the robotic crowd in ‘Something Real’, had shown an interesting, real-life related story and life lesson. This coming video of his would definitely be worth waiting for.

Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites Partner With Monterey County Wineries

To Offer Unique Wine-Themed Experience In The Heart Of Carmel

Carmel, CA, November 24, 2014 - When Brian and Jonathan Lee sought inspiration around the transformation of their family’s Carmel inn a few years ago, they looked no further than Monterey County’s Wine Region.

In 2013 Wine Enthusiast magazine bestowed the county as the top wine destination in the world. In the article, writer Steve Heimoff hailed the region’s “beautiful scenery, upscale galleries, glamorous resorts and stellar local wines.”

Faced with a major renovation and re-imagination of the property the Lees once owned but sold seven years ago, the answer became obvious: Name the inn Vendange (French for “vintage”), capitalize on its supreme location, design everything around a wine theme and create two stunning, fully equipped barrel rooms” for traveling families or couples.

“After we sold the property it really declined, and passing by it was difficult for our family,” said Jonathan Lee. “We wanted to modernize it and make it beautiful again, but also we knew we wanted to make each suite on our property a reflection of Monterey County’s flourishing wine industry.”

The Lees had the idea to partner with local wineries, especially those with tasting rooms in Carmel (currently there are more than two dozen tasting rooms, wine bars and bottle shops in the village, and the Carmel Wine Walk is thriving).

The wine-centric idea was to have wineries “adopt” a room at Vendange, putting their personal stamp on the furniture and décor. Each suite now provides a romantic ambiance of luxuriousness and charm.

“It took some time to get our ideas across to local wineries (Twisted Roots came on board first), but once they completed their suite, and the wineries could visually see the ideas we were striving for, the rest took off from there.”

Following the lead of Twisted Roots were: Galante, J. Lohr, McIntyre, Dawn’s Dream, Joullian, Ventana, Manzoni, Tudor, Cima Collina, Holman Ranch and Blair.

The novel idea allows the wineries to reflect their own style and statement through the rooms, while Vendange allows the wineries to use the rooms for clients or wine club members to create valuable cross-promotion.

“For us it creates a cachet and makes it a unique experience,” Lee said.

The family also created the two adjoining “barrel rooms,” designed ideally for couples rooms to create a relaxed “hang-out” experience. Each room is more than 900 square feet, with separate bedrooms, radiant floor heating, private patios, personal entrances and parking spaces. One room comes equipped with a high-end kitchen, complete with granite countertops, Viking appliances and all the comforts of home.

Whether it’s a walk around the manicured gardens, or quiet conversation and complimentary wine and cheese tasting around the fire pit under a lighted pergola, guests at Vendange find themselves pampered in an intimate environment with expert, attentive service.

Nestled beneath the pine trees in a tranquil neighborhood, Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites is one of the few inns in Carmel to provide parking. Located just a short walk from Carmel’s legendary downtown, visitors can absorb a complete wine experience in and out of their suites.

Lee points out that “vendange tardive” means "late harvest" in French. The phrase refers to a style of dessert wine where the grapes are allowed to hang on the vine until they start to dehydrate, concentrating the sugars.

“It fits because we want guests to come here, rest and get sweeter for the next day,” he said.

ABOUT THE TEMPTATIONS:
For more than fifty years, The Temptations have prospered, propelling popular music with a series of smash hits, and sold-out performances throughout the world. “The crowds are bigger, the sales are sizzling,” says one industry report. “The outpouring of affection for this super-group has never been greater”. The history of The Temptations is the history of contemporary American pop. An essential component of the original Motown machine, that amazing engine invented by Berry Gordy, The Temps began their musical life in Detroit in the early sixties. It wasn’t until 1964 however, that the Smokey Robinson written-and-produced “The Way You Do the things You Do” turned the guys into stars. An avalanche of hits followed, many of which...”My Girl,” for instance...attained immortality. “It’s Growing,” “Since I Lost My Baby;,” “Get Ready,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Beauty Is only Skin Deep,” “I Wish It Would Rain”...the hits kept coming.

The classic lineup was Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin. Beyond the fabulous singing, The temps became known for smooth stepping and flawless presentations. The Temptations Walk became a staple of American style. Flair, flash and class. Millions of fans saw their Temptations as cultural heroes. When the sixties and seventies turned political, The Temps got serious. They changed their tone, dress and music. Producer Norman Whitfield led the way. His Temptations hits, many featuring Dennis Edwards who had replaced David Ruffin, burned with intensity. “Runaway Child” “Cloud Nine,” “I Can’t Get Next to You,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone”, and “Psychedelic Shack” still smolder.

Other stellar singers...Richard Street, Ali-Ollie Woodson...joined, adding their luster to the groups’ growing fame. No matter the change in personnel, The Temptations remained true to The Temptations tradition. They survived the whims of fashion, whether disco or techno, and stuck to their guns.“Great singing,” says Otis, “will always prevail.”

In the eighties, The Temps prevailed with smashes like the Otis Williams’ penned “Treat Her Like A Lady.”Then in the nineties, another Temptation explosion: It began with their appearance on Motown 25 in 1983; it continued with the NBC mini-series that chronicled the group’s history, a ratings triumph over two nights in prime time. An Emmy Award followed. Then came a series of acclaimed records:

For Lovers Only, a collection of love standards, termed an instant classic by critics, remains among the most cherished of all Temptations recordings.

Phoenix Rising, went through the roof, a platinum-plus mega-hit featuring “Stay,” the Narada Michael Walden produced song that topped the charts.

Ear Resistible nailed a Grammy and a legion of new fans.

Awesome, released in 2001 is The Temptations at their freshest, strongest, and most appealing.

Reflections was released in 2005, nominated for a Grammy and brought to the world The Temptations versions of some of Motown’s greatest songs.

The current Temptations lineup consists of:
Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Joe Herndon, Bruce Williamson

“The more we change,” says veteran Ron Tyson, “the more we stay true to ourselves. We’re about singing straight-up soul. It’s a style that will live on forever.”

“The Temps have always been known for great lead singers”, says Williams. “Today we have three of the greatest leads in the proud history of the group.”

The soaring voice of Ron Tyson, perhaps the best high tenor in the business.

Terry Weeks, who grew up in Alabama and spent eight years in the Air Force before his makeshift audition for Otis on a Hollywood street corner, whose smooth textures and tones, express an extraordinary full range of feelings.

Newest member, Bruce Williamson started singing in a church choir at the ripe age of 5 years old and hasn’t stop since. He has sung in everything from commercials to musical to the top showrooms in Las Vegas. Bruce was introduced to Otis by Ron Tyson.

“Our challenge,” says Williams, “is to live in the present while respecting the past. Our past is filled with riches only a fool would discard. At the same time, we thrive on competition. As a Motowner, I grew up in the most competitive musical atmosphere imaginable. But we also understand that for a group with history, no matter how glorious that history might be, reinvention is the name of the game.”

“When I tell people we are God’s group,” says Otis, a remarkable modest man, “I don’t mean it arrogantly. It’s just that we have been tested time and again and keep coming back. We have suffered the death of so many legendary singers...Paul Williams, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin. Others like Dennis Edwards, Richard Street, Ali-Ollie Woodson and Theo Peoples have left, and yet our unity is tighter, our sound brighter and our popularity greater. Someone has watched over this group. Someone has protected our integrity. Someone has said...just go on singing and it’ll get better.”

And so THE TEMPTATIONS go on.......and on.....and on........

In 1926, a 15,000 square-foot Moorish castle rose on Alvarado Street, to the amazement of locals and visitors alike. A new cinema and live performance venue to rival those in California's largest cities, the Golden State Theatre , which was built by the Reid Brothers, was the definition of an opulent movie palace. Singer-Songwriter Duo Sabrina & Craig set to Release Moving Christmas Love Song Tree of Love with New Video November 11

"Don't be surprised if your audience is laughing, crying or both at the same time. Saying Sabrina & Craig are a folk act is like saying Babe Ruth was a good pitcher. It's true but it misses the whole picture." ~ Ron Maurer, the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts

Los Angeles, CA, November 23, 2014 - A special Christmas love song, “Tree of Love”, from the singer-songwriter duo Sabrina & Craig is set for this season's holiday release November 11th. This duo has been garnering national attention and loving fans with their heartfelt, soulful, and engaging music and stage presence. Their song “Mine All Mine” has been played on NPR radio and they have made regular appearances at many folk festivals.

“Tree of Love” is not just one more Holiday song; it’s a beautiful love anthem. The lyrics, instead of depicting the festive atmosphere as most Christmas songs do, tell the true story of the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and how their tradition with the Christmas tree became an enduring symbol of their everlasting love. With Sabrina’s tender, yet passionate vocal performance and Craig’s intricate finger-style guitar work, every detail of this lover’s tale is so vividly presented that we can feel Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s joy, pain, and their faith in love. The addition of sweeping orchestral instruments expands the dimension of the song, and adds warmth and sparkle, enveloping listeners like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s night. This release includes not only the sound recording of this song but also a new music video, which features authentic paintings, drawings, and photographs of Albert and Victoria.

Sabrina has been a performing singer since the age of six, toured Europe with the prestigious Ohio Honor’s Chorale, was Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, and is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild. Craig picked up the guitar at age 14 and has been playing ever since garnering numerous finger-style awards. Together they have been played on NPR radio, won the 50th Annual Topanga Banjo Fiddle Singing Contest, and were main stage artists and songwriting finalists at the Tucson Folk Festival. They are currently recording their second full-length album, GREEN, which was funded by fans – the GREEN Team -- through a crowd funding campaign and is expected to release in March of 2015.

Stream on Soundcloud

Born in Acapulco, Mexico, Rey puts a unique, Latin touch to this 2014 single of “This Holiday Night” – a Top 5 Holiday classic that has continued to dominate and have major chart success on AC radio. Following her album release of Habit and successfully battling breast cancer for a second time in 2013, Margo never stopped pursuing her music. Margo Rey recently became the National Ambassador for non-profit organization Brides Against Breast Cancer providing her top 20 Billboard charting song, “Let The Rain”, co-written by legendary John Oates as their theme song.

The Indie Music Digest says, “Her musical/vocal style is cut from the cloth of Celine Dion, Bonnie Raitt and Shania Twain.” – but I will add she can go toe to toe with any of them vocally.

Working in the music business since she was only eleven years old, Margo continues to provide an array of her signature rich vocals with smooth tunes and funky beats with every release.

Background on Netswitch:
When a computer virus infected the network at Crouse and Associates in San Francisco, the insurance services company ground to a halt during a weeklong outage — costing a significant amount of time and money to resolve. The company does not have a large IT staff or a chief information security officer, it can’t afford to employ security experts and it doesn’t have the time or expertise to wade through the complicated Internet security landscape filled with intimidating terminology like “botnets,” “kill-chains,” “application firewalls” and “advanced persistent threats.”

So the busy company left it all up to global technology solutions provider Netswitch and its innovative MADROC® Integrated Security Platform that maximizes network security for more than 2,500 global businesses, large and small. MADROC® provides complete intrusion detection and prevention along with event management and immediate alerting and remediation — complete peace of mind within a monthly subscription plan.

The future is very clear: Cyber-crime is growing rapidly and as security gets better, the criminals get smarter. To respond to this real problem, Netswitch has revolutionized the way IT security is delivered — controlling and monitoring a heterogeneous mix of IT technology from top to bottom at every touch point; a true Defense in Depth security strategy. A MADROC® subscription includes all engineering, configuration, tuning, licenses and maintenance, along with a dedicated Security Operations Control Center providing support around the clock, with 15 minute response and immediate remediation.

“Netswitch is applying technology to important security and social issues that I care deeply about,” said Ken Chrisman, Board Member of Netswitch. “This is an important opportunity to use technology to protect personal and sensitive information. I believe MADROC® is poised to revolutionize the personal information security space with enhanced security protection through advanced behavioral analytics while leveraging the cloud to manage the massive data being generated.”

SAFE International™ Launches Self Defense For Real Estate Agents in Houston, Texas

The owners of SAFE International™ have announced they are launching a self defense program which is tailored specifically to the needs of real estate agents.

Houston, TX, November 13, 2014 - The owners of SAFE International™ have announced they are launching a self defense program which is tailored specifically to the needs of real estate agents. The real estate profession carries with it many potential safety risks, from meeting new prospective clients to conducting open houses and showings.

SAFE International™, which has been in the forefront since 1994 empowering people to save their own lives through the use of self-defense concepts, believes its current focus on empowering people to protecting themselves is needed now more than ever with recent violent events in the real estate profession.

“Unfortunately, we live in an increasingly violent society, and we, here at SAFE International™, want to not only share our knowledge and experience with others, but while in the process of sharing we are also empowering people throughout Houston, Texas, and globally to defend themselves,” said Christopher Roberts, Managing Director of SAFE International™.

Even though their mission at SAFE International™ is to teach real self-defense skills to as many women, children, and men, from 12 years of age to 82 years of age, SAFE International™ does offer corporate self defense courses to those in working environments that are considered higher risk.

Some of the topics that are addressed during a 2 or 4 hour Houston Real Estate Safety seminar are distraction techniques used on real estate agents, car safety, safety in the home, dangers of letting income rule over intuition, how attackers choose their victims, importance of body language, the good and bad of cell phones, plus much more!

At SAFE International™, they are not offering a martial arts program. Rather, they are offering what they consider to be “a practical and realistic approach to personal safety.”

“What sets our approach to self-defense training apart from all other programs is how we present our courses with real-life simulated scenarios, with hands-on techniques and with humor, yes… humor,” added Roberts, who believes that while the subject matter is a very serious one, SAFE International™ knows that learning in a safe, fun, and enthusiastic environment is the best way to retain what is being presented.

About Dana Carvey:
Emmy-award winning comedian Dana Carvey has maintained an illustrious career. Carvey was born in Missoula, MT. While a student at San Francisco State University, he won the San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition. After his graduation (with a degree in communication arts), he played at numerous clubs in the Bay Area and then moved to Los Angeles in 1981 to pursue his career.

A repertory member of “Saturday Night Live” since the 1986-87 season, Carvey left in 1992 after seven seasons. Carvey is best known for his characters the Church Lady; Hans, of the Hans and Franz body building duo; Garth, Wayne Campbell’s (Mike Myers) ‘Excellent Co-Host’ on the immensely popular sketch ‘Wayne’s World,’ and Weekend Updates Grumpy Old Man.

In addition to these characters, Dana has received widespread praise for his uncanny comedic impersonations of such political figures as Ex-President George Bush, H. Ross Perot, Jerry Brown, David Duke and Bob Dole. He also does impersonations of George Burns, Johnny Carson, Jimmy Stewart, John McLaughlin, Mickey Rooney, Casey Casem, and Regis Philbin.

On television, he hosted the 1992 presentation of the MTV Music Awards, co-starred in two pilots and was a member of the Showtime special “Salute to the Improvisation,” with Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Robert Klein. In 1995, Dana performed stand-up in his own one hour comedy special on HBO aptly named “Critics Choice ****.” In 2008 Dana recorded his second solo comedy special for HBO entitled “Dana Carvey: Squatting Monkeys Tell No Lies.”

In 1992 Carvey appeared in the blockbuster film “WAYNE’S WORLD,” based on the hit “Saturday Night Live” sketch. The film grossed over $160 million and was produced by “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels. The public demanded a sequel and in 1993 Carvey appeared in “WAYNE’S WORLD 2,” recreating his role of Garth, alongside Mike Myers’ Wayne. The film was hugely successful.

Carvey’s transfer from the small screen to the large screen included roles in Alan Parker’s “THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE,” for Columbia Pictures, Richard and Lili Zanuck’s “CLEAN SLATE” for MGM, and Twentieth Century Fox’s “TRAPPED IN PARADISE.” His early film work includes his debut in “THIS IS SPINAL TAP,” “RACING WITH THE MOON,” “ONE OF THE GROUP” where he portrayed Mickey Rooney’s grandson, “BLUE THUNDER” with James Farentino, “TOUGH GUYS,” with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas, and starring in the comedy “OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS.” In 2004, he starred in “The Master of Disguise” comedy fantasy for the whole family which features Carvey in 36 different identities and speaking 14 different languages as the hapless and heroic Pistachio Disguisey.

Carvey won an Emmy Award in 1993 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. He has received a total of six Emmy nominations one of which was for a guest appearance on HBO’s highly acclaimed “LARRY SANDERS SHOW.” Also, he was honored with The American Comedy Award as Television’s Funniest Supporting Male in 1990 and 1991.

About the Golden State Theatre:
In 1926, a 15,000 square-foot Moorish castle rose on Alvarado Street, to the amazement of locals and visitors alike. A new cinema and live performance venue to rival those in California's largest cities, the Golden State Theatre , which was built by the Reid Brothers, was the definition of an opulent movie palace.
